Our founder is a licensed physician in Maryland and Virginia, and is a Board Certified Doctor of Internal Medicine with over 20-years experience in the medical profession. She was born in Seoul, South Korea, where her father was a South Korean diplomat. She spent her childhood accompanying her parents on diplomatic assignments in Spain and Ecuador, and speaks fluent English, Spanish, and Korean. Growing up in different countries instilled in her a deep appreciation and affinity for different cultures, perspectives, and people of all backgrounds.

She graduated with honors from the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC), and went on to complete her medical degree at the internationally renowned Hanyang University Medical School in Seoul, South Korea. Upon graduation, she undertook her residency in Internal Medical at Flushing Hospital Medical Center in New York. Her rigorous training instilled in her a deep commitment to patient care, emphasizing both physical health and overall well-being. She became board certified in Internal Medicine, earning accolades for her empathetic approach and clinical expertise.

She is committed to professional excellence and community service. She is currently the Vice-Chair of the Korean American Medical Association of Greater Washington DC-DMV, and has served as the organization’s Past-President. She volunteers and serves with the Global Children Foundation (GCF), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that strives to offer a brighter future by providing resources for the well-being, education, and guidance of children in need throughout the world. She also volunteers and performs community service through the Korean Community Service Center of Greater Washington, DC, as a mentor and lecturer on medical health and wellness.
